A true classic of Hawaiiwood TV shows, it stills has a large fan base 20 years later. Only "Magnum P.I." has done nearly as well or been as influential. As far as memorable characters go, only Hawaii Five-0 has those real burned in your brain 1970's memories, and the all-time classic line of Steve McGarrett that everyone knows- "Book 'em, Dano". Jack Lord had recently come from a cancelled TV show, "Stoney Burke" and proved many people wrong by making 5-0 a hit show. |
